Relax, it's not the end of the WORD: it's a palette!

Note: Each book is represented by a palette composed of 12 colors.

"Relax, it's not the end of the WORD: it's a palette!"  is a series-based artwork that involves creating colors from the ashes of burned books. In this case, four books: The Divine Comedy, Mein Kampf, I Have a Dream, and 1984.

The whole book is transformed into color, and that color can, potentially, become image or word once again.

What was once text becomes pigment, and what is traced with it reactivates, contradicts, ironizes, or reinterprets it’s original meaning.

The color goes beyond its aesthetic function: it embodies memory, ideology, and vision. The possibility of using it makes the artwork participatory, breaking away from the idea of a “finished work”: the viewer is invited to take an active part, becoming a co-author.
