Environmental installation in porphyry, gold leaf, and wax.
Realised by Amen for VIOFF 2026, the 15th edition of Fuori Fiera VicenzaOro Golden House, Palazzo delle Poste, Vicenza
The work is composed of 214 elements, and gradually leaves the exhibition space, moving toward unknown destinations.
The installation originates from the sanpietrino, an urban element that has shaped the Italian streets for centuries, including Vicenza.
In Keystones, this module is removed from its original function and transformed into a luminous element.
Arranged on the ground, the sanpietrini generates a symbolic space suspended between ritual and everyday urban life, open to participation. Each visitor may take one and carry it away: a simple gesture that becomes a recognition of Vicenza’s cultural value and of the need to reactivate its latent potential. Through this action, each participant becomes part of a dispersed, invisible community that extends the life of the work across time and space, transforming the viewer into an active element of its structure.
Once removed, each element is presented through display methods commonly linked to conservation, highlighting the tension between cultural heritage preservation and the production of new imaginaries.
